The Fraunhofer Center for Silicon Photovoltaics (CSP) Our profile The Fraunhofer Center for Silicon Photovoltaics (CSP) conducts applied research in the area of crystallization, solar modules and solar wafers. With top competencies, Fraunhofer CSP explores the field of ingot manufacturing and material development. Moreover, the manufacture and assessment of solar cells and modules as well as electrical, optical, and micro-structural materials and component characteristics are also carried out. Ultra-modern research and analytical equipment is available for these activities. Fraunhofer EMB

Die Fraunhofer EMB wurde 2008 gegründet und befasst sich mit industrienaher Forschung im Bereich der Lebenswissenschaften. Hier werden innovative Zelltechnologien entwickelt, die in den Bereichen Diagnostik & Prävention, Medizin, Kosmetik und in der Bioökonomie zum Einsatz kommen. Darüber hinaus gibt es einen Schwerpunkt im Bereich der Lebensmitteltechnologie und Aquakultur. Moderne, landbasierte Aquakulturanlagen ermöglichen die technische Erprobung neuer Kreislaufsysteme und die Ko-Kultivierung unterschiedlicher Arten.

Fraunhofer INT

The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis INT creates, and continually updates, a comprehensive overview of the general research and technology landscape and of the entire spectrum of technological development. We consolidate the general overview with our own specialized analyses and forecasts in selected technologies and by our own theoretical and experimental work in the field of electromagnetic and nuclear effects.

Fraunhofer IEM

The Fraunhofer Institute for Mechatronic Systems Design IEM is an expert for intelligent mechatronics in the context of industry 4.0. Scientists from the fields of mechanical engineering, software engineering and electrical engineering collaborate interdisciplinary at the Paderborn site. Focusing on “Advanced Systems Engineering“, Fraunhofer IEM explores innovative methods and tools for the development of intelligent products, production systems and services. Underlying core competencies are intelligence in mechatronic systems, Systems Engineering and Virtual Prototyping. Fraunhofer IEM currently counts 108 staff members and is managed by a three-member steering committee: Prof. Ansgar Trächtler (executive director), Prof. Roman Dumitrescu and Prof. Eric Bodden.
